Speaking during a sermon that has since gone viral across social media platforms, the preacher urged husbands to remain loving and committed, but warned against the idea of chasing perfection in marriage at the expense of their well-being.
Addressing married men directly, she said it is unrealistic to assume that any man can completely meet all the emotional and personal expectations of a woman, stressing that desires for change and improvement are a natural part of relationships.
“To all married men, don’t ever kill yourself trying to please a woman. I’m a woman speaking to you, and there is nobody who can please a woman to the fullest,” she said.
To illustrate her point, she drew comparisons with everyday beauty practices among women, noting that even natural features are often altered in pursuit of enhancement.
“God gave us natural nails, we cut them and put on artificial ones. He gave us natural hair, we remove it and wear wigs. If God cannot please us completely, who are you to think you can?” she added.
While her comments have sparked debate, she also emphasised that her message was not a call for emotional distance or neglect in marriage. Instead, she encouraged husbands to continue showing care, love, and commitment, while avoiding unrealistic expectations that could lead to burnout or frustration in relationships.
