Ijeoma Of PFWA '08 Returns With A Bang

The first time Ijeoma was spotted on stage was at MTN Project Fame 2008 where she vocally competed with other talented singers across Nigeria and West Africa.  She may not have won the competition but it has not made her less of a gifted singer. Today (August 17), she debuts with “Oloomi” (My Love), a song that speak volumes of why she was picked for the competition in the first place.
“Oloomi”, as rendered by Ijeoma was written by Harrysong and produced by Del B. It is not just a love song  it is a story that will take lovers back to the drawing board. It is a song that calls for reconciliation and reassurance. Listeners will not only relate to this song, they will also commend the Imo State born singer for a job well done.
Recalling her experience at Project Fame, she says “it was more than a competition for me. It wasn't just about singing someone's song and getting judged, it was basically about having your own songs at the end of the day and the experience I got from the show has actually made the ladder to the top a little shorter for me”
Full names Ijeoma Daisy Okwara, has a degree in English Language from Abia State University. She presently works part-time with a telecommunication company in Lagos but channels the rest of her time to the studio. Challenging as it may seem, she still pulls it off on this debut and many other songs that will be released to the public later. In her words, “Music gives me joy. It makes me look beyond my challenges.”
She is signed to Dudutoonz Studios as a brand ambassador for the multimedia company that is also responsible for her brand, perception and quality control.
