Emotions ran high at the Globacom
headquarters recently in Lagos
as eight more lucky subscribers who emerged winners in the Glo N1 Billion SIM
registration promo collected their cheques of N1 million each.
The winners are Ore Rukayat from
Surulere, Lagos, Dayyabu Mamuda from Zongo ward,
Yobe state, Ujah Mary from Ikorodu, Lagos state,
Ogunleye Durojaiye from Ofin Isanlu, Kogi state, Chibuzor Rosemary from Amuzu
Ezza, Ebonyi state, Godwin Oregbe from Makurdi, Benue state, Faiza Yusuf from

The winners who were mainly

and to Glo for making it possible for them to be blessed so early in the year
with resources that will forever change their lives.
For Rosemary Chibuzor, winning N1
million in the promo was like a joke turned into reality especially as her
parents did not believe that it could be true that she won money for just
registering her SIM. She however persisted and went to the Gloworld in
Abakaliki where she got final confirmation that it was true she won.
“Everyone discouraged me, but
today my heart is full of joy. God makes a way where there is no way. Glo has
now made a way for me where there was no way”, she said, getting close to
tears.
Speaking at the occasion, Ore
Rukayat, a diploma student of Kwara Polytechnic in Ilorin said it was a huge
surprise when she got a call from Glo that she had won N1 million for
registering her SIM.
“I was in school at the time and
my friends told me it must be a fraud. I am so happy now that they have been
proved wrong and I have been given the cheque. I want to thank Glo for being so
transparent and magnanimous,” she said.
Otse Peter Omoh, a young
Abuja-based student seeking admission into a university was full of gratitude
to Glo for making his dream of a bright future now completely realizable.
“I want to say a big thank you to
Glo for making my dream a reality, he said, I did not believe initially though
the call came from the Glo customer care number 121. Now, I can be sure of
completing my education when I finally get admission,” he stated.
For Oregbe Godwin, a medical
student at the Benue
State University
in Makurdi, being told that he had won N1 million while writing his exams was
such a huge surprise.
“I was so surprised and did not
know what to do initially. But now I am so grateful to Glo Nigeria . God will bless and reward
Glo continually,” he said.
Speaking earlier at the event,
Globacom's head of Corporate Sales, Kamal Shonibare said that the Another Glo
N1 Billion Blast was in furtherance of Glo's commitment to showing appreciation
to its subscribers who register their SIMs and thank them for their loyalty.
He said the extended Glo N1
Billion SIM registration Blast “will in the next 25 days reward our subscribers
across the country who register their SIMs with prizes of N1 million daily for
