The owner of the rave of the moment night club, Auto Lounge, Mr Larry
Onuegbu is in soup right now and sources say he may even be on his way to
prison. The flamboyant and gregarious club owner, we gathered, burnt his
fingers recently when he fraudulently sold a 2009 car as a 2012 model.
The car that landed Larry Onuegbu in trouble is a 2009 model, Porsche
Cayenne SUV.
What we heard was that Larry,
an Igbo car dealer who got fortunate by rolling with deep pocket big boys in
Abuja and Lagos bought the 2009 model Porsche from a Zenith Bank director. He
allegedly changed the mileage, refurbished it and sold it to an oil and gas big
boy, Dumebi Kachukwu as a 2012 model.
Naeto C & Dbanj
Dumebi Kachukwu, according to sources, actually bought the car as a
wedding gift for his former brother-in-law, Naeto C. Dumebi was formerly
married to Somachi, the first daughter of Naeto C's mother, the former Minister
of Aviation, Mrs Kema Chikwe. We were told that Dumebi gave the Porsche Cayenne
to D'banj to help present the wonder on wheels to Naeto C on the wedding day
because he would like to stay at the background. The wedding was held few days
ago and the presentation of the Porsce Cayenne to Naeto C and wife, Nicole by
D'banj made several headlines, as many thought it was Dbanj that bought the
SUV.
Our informant said after cruising the Porsche for about two to three
days, the exotic car started showing some signs of fault which made Naeto C
take it to the Porsche Mart in Lagos. It was there that Larry's fraud was
discovered. It was revealed automatically that the car was refurbished as a
2012 model, whereas it was actually a 2009 model.
The controversial Porsche Cayenne
The discovery infuriated Dbanj who already had issues with the Auto
Lounge boss, Larry.
It would be recalled that, about 3 months ago, Dbanj visited the Auto
Lounge Nite Club in Abuja, but was embarrassed and disgraced out of the fun
place when Larry Onuegbu pulled off his shirt to fight the former Mohits star.
Larry eventually told D'banj to get out of his club or he would smash a bottle
on Dbanj's head if he refused to leave. We learnt Dbanj felt really insulted by
Larry's conduct and had been waiting for a time to hit Larry back. The
fraudulent sale of the Porsche Cayenne by Larry is now a perfect opportunity
for Dbanj to deal with him. Sources say that Police have been invited into the
case and the Auto Lounge boss is currently in detention, while Dbanj is
pressing for full prosecution which could send Larry Onuegbu to prison for
several years.
