Barely two months after Nollywood
star, Mercy Johnson returned to Nigeria from the United States of America,
where she was delivered of a baby girl in December 2012, the sultry actress has
returned to movie locations.
Few days before she took a
maternity leave from acting in December, the prolific actress was spotted on
movie locations in places like Asaba and Enugu with her protruding stomach as
producers were still chasing her with scripts then.
It was even reported that when
she arrived America, some movie producers there besieged her with movie
scripts, some of which she reportedly accepted.
The actress had been on break
since she gave birth to her child named; Purity late December 2012, until she
returned to the country and staged a superlative baby dedication at her new
home in Ajah, Lagos, on April 28.
Last week, the Kogi State-born
well endowed screen diva announced that she has resumed work fully and thanked
everyone that has supported her during her maternity leave. She said, “I want
to say thank you to my fans, friends, colleagues and producers, who were there
for me during my break. Many even sent greetings to me during the dedication of
my child.”
She further stated that, “I
resumed work this week (last week) with a grateful heart and understanding that
I am here because God, through the help of people, made it possible for
me.”
Mercy Jonson added that, “how can
I explain the number of producers and scripts waiting for my return? I am very
grateful and I am here to say a big thank you to everyone who played a role and
those who had good wishes for me in their hearts. Thank you and God bless.”
Mercy Johnson is one of the best
and talented actresses in Nollywood. She got married to Prince Odi Okojie in
August 2011in Lagos at Pastor Chris Oyakhilome's Christ Embassy.
