    Ghana: Heritage Bank To Open 10 More Branches by the Close of 2017

    Heritage Bank barely four months after commencing full operations as domestic bank in the Ghana has launched its second flagship branch in Lagos Avenue East Legon, Accra.
    The wholly indigenous bank promises to open ten new branches across the country by the end of 2017, while rendering tailor made services to its customers and prospective clients. The Bank however carries a mission of providing world class banking to the Ghanaian populace.
    The unveiling which took place 14th June, 2017 was graced by stakeholders in the financial sector, business men, entrepreneurs, politicians and some customers of the bank.
    Managing Director, Heritage Bank Limited, Mr. Patrick Edwin Fiscian in his speech at the launch stated that the bank has come to represent the revolution the Ghanaian banking industry is awaiting. He mentioned that they will place huge emphasis on creating convenience for their customers by listening a paying close attention to their needs and wants thereby providing tailor made services both for existing customers and future clients.
    He also added that the new edifice will improve customer experience. Mr. Fiscian gave a congratulatory message to all those who played a role in making the second branch of Heritage Bank a reality.

    Head of Banking Supervision, Bank of Ghana, Mr. Raymond Amanfu applauded the management of Heritage for taking a bold step to participate in such a highly competitive industry. He however encourage the bank to take advantage of the various innovative branchless banking options available like mobile money, e-Banking, credit cards, debit cards and point of sale devices in order to broaden their customer margin and have a market share.
    Mr. Amanfu also urged Heritage Bank to extend its services to the lower earned and under served people of the bankable population. He stressed that most banks are situated in urban cities for economic reasons, neglecting the banking needs of those in the outskirt of the major cities.
    Some dignitaries who were present at the event were Hon. Emmanuel Kyremanteng Agyarko, Hon. Frema Osei-Opare, Prof. ChristopherAmeyaw Akumfi, Hon. Ambrose Dery and Seth Kwame Acheampong.
