Basorge Unveils Record Label, Signs Two New Acts

Legendary entertainer, Basorge Tariah, popularly known as ‘The Grandmaster’, has unveiled his record label, Solid Star Records.

At the event held at The Carnavalah located on Waziri Ibrahim Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, he unveiled two fresh acts signed onto the label, Nifty Boy and Bere, who said they were poised to take the music industry by storm.

A statement from Solid Star Records, a subsidiary of Solid Star Entertainment, indicated that Basorge, who recently brought on board a new partner, would be investing a lot of resources in the development and marketing of new talents.

Uniquely gifted Nifty Boy, real name Enoch Solomon, is a promising young act who hails from Kaduna. Armed with a compelling youthful voice, he is described as a creative songwriter and a gifted producer. The signee is adventurous and experiments with different genres of music, which include R&B, Afro pop and Dancehall.

The second act, Chidi-Ebere Benard, who hails from Ebonyi State, is a ‘whirling musical talent’ with a wealth of experience.

The label indicated that the satisfaction in opening new pages for creative young people who stand absolutely no chance in the ever difficult and competitive terrain of entertainment was part of the factors driving the entertainment firm.

The acts also performed some of their songs to the pleasure of the audience who were left to make their own personal decisions on the talents and the creativity of the artistes.
