    COVID-19: 184 New Cases Reported in Nigeria, Total Infections Now 4971

    Coronavirus Case statistics in Nigeria at close of day May 13 stood at 4971 with 184 new cases of COVID-19 Infections. The number of discharged and deaths stood at 1,070 and 164 respectively.
    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) in a tweet late Wednesday confirmed the new cases.

    NCDC officials reported that six new patients had been confirmed dead in the last 24 hours, while 111 more people have recovered and discharged after contracting Covid-19.

    Of the 184 new cases, the health agency said 51 were from Lagos, 23 cases in Jigawa, 16 cases each in Bauchi and Katsina and 14 cases in Kano. While FCT and River state had 10 cases each.

    Kwara state reported 9 cases of coronavirus, 5 cases each in Delta and Kaduna. Sokoto and Oyo state had 4 cases each, three cases each in Kebbi, Nasarawa and Osun state.

    Other states with new cases include Ondo with two cases of the virus infection, while Ebonyi, Edo, Enugu, Anambra, Plateau and Niger reported one case each.

    On the 13th of May 2020, 184 new confirmed cases and 6 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
    No new state has reported a case in the last 24 hours.
    Till date, 4971 cases have been confirmed, 1070 cases have been discharged and 164 deaths have been recorded in 34 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
