Microsoft Teams To Increase Group Call Limit To 250

Microsoft Teams is planning to increase the group call limit to 250 in this Month. At present, it allows 100 participants to do a video conference, and it will increase the limit in the upcoming update in mid-May. It looks like it will have a great competition with Google Meet and Zoom.

Currently, Zoom offers up to 100 participants at once on the video call. Due to the coronavirus spread, the use of video call service has increased a lot. The CEO of Microsoft Satya Nadella has announced that the Teams has 75 million users now.

The company has confirmed in its roadmap section that they will increase the group call limit to 250 soon. All the paid subscribers will get access to this increased limit in mid-May. All the users who are having free plans can do a group call up to 20 people.

Apart from extending the limit of the group call, all the paid subscribers will get benefits of meeting recordings, phone call, scheduled meetings, and audio conferencing also. The paid subscribers get 1TB of storage, and the free plan users get 1GB of storage and 10 GB of shared storage.

The rise in demand is due to the current situation and lockdown across the globe. The CEO of Microsoft said in a conference call that the company benefited from strong demand for the Teams collaboration software, and now it has 75 million users.

The giant has introduced new features to Teams, and recently it offers support for Live Captions to Android and iOS users after it was available for desktop users.

Moreover, the Microsoft Teams has added the option to view the shared content when anyone joins the meeting from a phone call.
