With the new confirmed cases on Friday, a total of 61,194 COVID-19 infections have now been recorded across the country.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) disclosed this via its official twitter page.
110 patients were discharged from isolation centers across the country.
Lagos reported 85 cases of the new virus, followed by Oyo with 72 cases, FCT with 21 cases, while Ogun, and Plateau had 11 cases each, Kastina recorded 6 cases, Kaduna 5 cases and Osun had 1 case.
Since the beginning of the outbreak in Nigeria in February, more than 572,705 samples have been tested by NCDC, out of which 58,647 were positive.
According to the NCDC, on the 16th of October 2020, 212 new confirmed cases and 3 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
Till date, 61,194 cases have been confirmed, 52,304 cases have been discharged and 1,119 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
