The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) revealed this via its official Twitter handle.
NCDC also announced the discharge of 148 patients from isolation centers across the country with 3 new deaths reported.
Data obtained from the health agency's website shows that Lagos recorded the highest number of infections with 123, while Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory FCT, Kaduna and Imo reported 64, 38 and 15 infections respectively.
Other states with new infections are; Rivers-11, Plateau-8, Ogun-5, Bayelsa-4, Kwara-4, Bauchi-3, Edo-3, Kano-2 and Osun-1
Nigeria has so far tested 779,708 persons since the first confirmed case relating to the COVID-19 pandemic was announced.
According to NCDC, on the 1st of December 2020, 281 new confirmed cases and 3 deaths were recorded in Nigeria
Till date, 67,838 cases have been confirmed, 63,430 cases have been discharged and 1,176 deaths have been recorded in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
Our discharges today include 61 community recoveries in Lagos State managed in line with guidelines.
