    NCDC Reports 47 New Cases of COVID-19

    Nigeria health officials are reporting 47 new COVID-19 cases, as the country continue to records lowest single-day figure.

    Tuesday’s report brings the total number of lab-confirmed cases in the nation to 165,515.

    Health officials also reported that no patient died due to COVID-19 in past 24 hours. In total, the nation has seen 2,065 deaths related to the novel coronavirus.

    The nation deemed 40 more cases of the disease to be resolved as of Tuesday, bringing Nigeria’s number of recovered patients up to 156,358.

    Today’s cases were recorded in 6 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    Most of the new cases reported are in Adamawa and Lagos with 19 and 16 infections respectively, while Enugu and Kaduna had 3 cases each, Akwa-Ibom, Delta and FCT recorded 2 cases each.

    Nigeria has 165,515 total coronavirus cases but just 7,092 of those are still active, the latest figures show.
