As part of the University’s drive to cater for the welfare
of its staff and students, the University of Lagos (UNILAG), in collaboration
with the Lagos State Government (LASG) has concluded plans on the bus reform
initiative services for UNILAG commuters.
The initiative, which is being executed by the Lagos Metropolitan Area Transport Authority (LAMATA), will commence in phases in line with LAMATA’s strategic deployment process.
Operations along the “Yaba-UNILAG” (phase 1) and “Bariga-UNILAG” (phase 2) routes has undergone a test-run on Wednesday, May 5, 2021. Full operations will begin on Monday, May 10, 2021 from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. daily at these locations and other locations such as:
- Ikeja
- Agege
- Ikorodu
- Iyana-Ipaja
- Ojota-Berger and
- CMS
The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Oluwatoyin T. Ogundipe, FAS,
encourages all members of the University community to give all necessary
support towards achieving a successful commencement of the operations.
