    COVID-19: More than 200 People Tests Positive in Nigeria

    More than 200 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Nigeria.

    In Sunday's coronavirus report, the nation reported 217 new cases of COVID-19 in 8 states. The nation's positivity rate has also gone up.

    With the new report, the nation’s COVID-19 infections tally moved up to 171,111, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC disclosed this via its official Facebook page.

    A total of 164,789  coronavirus cases are considered resolved, which is up by one on Sunday and is 96.3 per cent of all confirmed cases.

    The nation’s active caseload is now 4,180 up from 3,965 a days ago. Increased by 215 in 24 hours period.

    No new death linked to the virus on July 25, the nation’s virus-related death toll now stand at 2,132.

    According to the breakdown 108 people tested positive for COVID-19 in 24 hours period in Lagos, which has the highest number of cases in the country.

    Other states affected by the virus on Sunday as follows Akwa Ibom-96, Oyo-4, Rivers-3, Edo-2, Ekiti-1, Kano-1 and Osun-1.

    Today’s report includes data from Akwa Ibom are for 24th (43) and 25th (53) July 2021.

    NCDC also noted that FCT, Imo,  Kaduna, Ogun, Plateau, and Sokoto among the six states with zero cases.
