    COVID-19: NCDC Reports 146 New Cases, Lagos Had 110

    According to the Nigeria Centre  for Disease Control NCDC's COVID-19 dashboard, Nigeria recorded 146 new cases of coronavirus in 6 states and the Federal Capital Territory and no new death related to the virus on Thursday.

    The new cases reported today, shows an increase from 110 recorded a day earlier.

    With this, the country's cumulative COVID-19 infection tally went up to 168,256 and the total death toll stands at 2,122.

    NCDC data further showed that the number of active cases moved up to 1,719 from 1,580 it was the previous day.

    The total number of recoveries rose to 164,415, with 7 people being discharged in the last 24 hours.

    Data released by the health officials via its verified Facebook page shows that Lagos topped the list with 110 infections, followed by Enugu with 18, Oyo with 7 and Rivers wwith5 case.

    While Gombe, FCT and Kaduna reported 3, 2 and 1 respectively.

    Today's report includes 0 cases reported from Plateau, Nasarawa, Ekiti, Imo, Kano and Sokoto States, the health officials noted.
