    COVID-19: Nigeria Records 2 More Deaths, 610 New Cases

    Nigeria registered 610 fresh cases of COVID-19 and 2 more virus-related deaths in the last 24 hours. While the number of active cases in the country continues to rise.

    The country also recorded 149 recoveries in the last 24 hours, after which Nigeria’s total recovery  reached 166,131.

    The new cases on Tuesday have pushed Nigeria’s total caseload to 179,118, while the death toll now stands at 2,194.

    Nigeria at present has 10,783 active cases of COVID-19.

    According to the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC, the new cases were identified in 12 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    The breakdown of the new cases  state-by-state is as follows Lagos-281, Rivers-152, Akwa Ibom-85, Ogun-21, Oyo-21, Ekiti-14, FCT-13, Delta-7, Edo-6, Ondo-4, Bayelsa-2, Kano-2 and Plateau-2.

    Two states, Kaduna and Sokoto reported zero cases
