    Nigeria Records 4 Deaths, 473 New COVID-19 Cases

    Nigeria reports a drop in the number of new COVID-19 infections with 473 new cases over the past 24 hours.

    Today’s cases shows a decrease from the 565 confirmed a day earlier.

    Four more virus-related death were confirmed in Nigeria today.

    About 165,472 Nigeria residents were reported to have recovered from COVID-19 as resolved cases increased by 63 on Saturday.

    The number of active COVID-19 cases in Nigeria continues to grow, nears 10,000 mark. Currently, Nigeria’s active caseload is now 9,948 up from 9,542 a days ago.

    According to data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC, COVID-19 infections tally in Nigeria reached 177,615, while the death toll from the virus stands at 2,185 and the number of recovered COVID-19 patients is now 165,472 in 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    The public health officials in its daily updates said, the new cases were reported in 12 states and Federal Capital Territory. And other states reported no cases.

    The breakdown as follows Lagos-323, Akwa Ibom-46, Rivers-41, FCT-20, Ekiti-12, Osun-9, Oyo-9, Ogun-6, Bayelsa-3, Anambra-1, Edo-1, Nasarawa-1 and Plateau-1.

    While Kaduna, Sokoto, Kano and Ondo reported no cases.
