Nigeria has recorded 239,019 novel coronavirus cases since the epidemic began, out of which 213,180 patients have recovered from the infections, according to Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC. In addition, Nigeria reported 3,027 deaths linked coronavirus.

Nigeria’s COVID-19 cases significantly decrease within 24 hours, dropping from 859 cases  reported on Monday to 599 new daily cases on Tuesday, according to the health officials.

The active cases have further increased to 22,803 from 22,586 it was the previous day.

NCDC dashboard shows that 410 patients were reported to have recovered from COVID-19 in 24 hours period  and 3 more deaths were reported.

According to public health officials, most of the cases reported on Tuesday were found in Delta-194, Edo-94, FCT-80, Kaduna-48 and Lagos-35.

Others states includes Ondo-23, Kano-21, Rivers-20, Kwara-20, Ogun-18, Plateau-12, Abia-8, Cross River-8, Ekiti-6 and Bauchi-3.

While 2 states reported zero cases reported: Osun, and Sokoto.

NCDC noted that today’s report includes 194 cases reported in Delta state are from 13th - 26th (191) and 27th (3) December 2021.
