On February 09, Public health officials in reported 37 COVID-positive patients in 5 states and the Federal Capital Territory.
While the number of active COVID-19 cases rose
to 20,515 from 20,488.
The breakdown of the NCDC data revealed Lagos reported
almost half of the new cases – with 16 infections, FCT reported 11 cases and Kastina
had 4 cases.
Kano on same day reported 3 cases, Rivers had 2
cases and Kaduna reported 1 case.
NCDC noted that four states, Bauchi, Delta,
Nasarawa, and Sokoto reported zero cases.
The updates provided by the Nigeria Centre for
Disease Control also shows the nation reported no death linked to the disease
and after testing negative to the virus, 10 patients were discharged from
hospitals across the country.
Nigeria public health officials has confirmed 253,875
cases of COVID-19 since the start of the pandemic and reported 230,221 recoveries
and there have been a total 3,139 COVID-19-related deaths.
