The confirmed cases of coronavirus have increased to 256,004 in Nigeria as the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control announced additional 32 cases of COVID-19 in the country.

Again, no patient was confirmed to have died of COVID-19 complications in past 48 hours. The nationwide death toll from the virus remained 3,143.

NCDC added, in total, 250,024 people have been discharged from hospitals after their symptoms improved.

A breakdown of the NCDC update shows that Lagos State, the epicentre of the virus in the country recorded most of the infections with 21 cases.

While River State had 8 cases, Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) reported 2 cases and Kano  had 1 case.

The data also shows that four States reported zero cases: Abia, Nasarawa, Plateau, and Sokoto.
