Renowned Nigerian musician, Folarin Falana, professionally known as Falz the Bhad Guy, has provided insights into the nature of his connection with fellow singer, Simi.

Simi and Falz sparked rumors of a romantic relationship after the release of their collaborative extended play titled “Chemistry” in the year 2016.

During a recent interview with Hip TV, Falz clarified the nature of their relationship, emphasizing that it was solely a creative collaboration and not a romantic involvement.

He described how he contacted Simi after hearing her hit song ‘Jamb Question’ and how their musical synergy led to further fruitful collaborations.

“I met Simi 2013 or 2014. I reached out to her first time I heard ‘Jamb Question’ to let her know I’ve written a verse for the remix that we’ve not yet discussed,” he recalled.

“And we went on to do it, shot the video and from then onwards, every other track was so natural. She’s family, we really really clicked musically and we just had to really explore that. It was beautiful.”

In May, Simi disclosed that her and Falz have an intense musical “synergy.”

During an interview on Angela Yee’s podcast, “Way Up,” the singer clarified that many individuals mistakenly believed that they were involved in a romantic relationship.

Falz was recently featured in the song titled ‘Borrow Me Your Baby’ from Simi’s most recent album, ‘Lost And Found.’

The nuptials between Simi and her undisclosed romantic partner, musician Adekunle Gold, which took place on January 9, 2019, effectively dispelled the rumors regarding her purported involvement with Falz.

In the year of 2020, the couple were blessed with the arrival of their first child, Adejare.
