Renowned Nigerian Afrobeat artist Davido was seen alongside other prominent musicians at Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy’ tour concert in Atlanta, Georgia.
Asake kicked off his sold-out performance at the 17,000-seat
State Farm Arena on August 16, 2024, with the event scheduled to last for 10
days.
A viral video on social media captured Davido backstage with
American rapper Quavo, showing their support for Asake during the live show.
Other notable attendees included Nigerian sensation Zlatan
and American rapper Russ Millions. Asake’s ‘Lungu Boy’ tour will span six U.S.
cities, featuring major venues such as Madison Square Garden in New York, the
Toyota Center in Houston, and the State Farm Arena in Atlanta.
Asake’s tour commences shortly after the release of his most
recent chart-topping single, “Lungu Boy.” This collaborative effort features
renowned artists such as Wizkid, British rappers Central Cee and Stormzy,
Travis Scott, and Brazilian singer Ludmilla.
“Lungu Boy” has achieved a significant milestone by setting
a new record for the highest number of streams during its opening week on
Spotify Nigeria. It garnered an Impressive 18.9 million streams, surpassing the
previous record of 14.4 million streams held by Davido’s “Timeless.”
