The National Board for Technical Education has granted approval for the establishment of Nubian American Advanced College, effective August 1, 2024.
Additionally, the college has received interim accreditation
for its Business Administration and Management program from the NBTE. This
information was disclosed in a statement released on Sunday.
A letter from the Board’s Executive Secretary, Prof Idris
Bugaje, confirmed the approval from the Minister of Education, Prof Tahir
Mamman, in accordance with the provisions of ACT CAP E3 LPN 2004.
The letter also urged the college to adhere strictly to the
approved programs, noting that the operational license for the institution will
be provided at a later date.
Dr. Patrick Oyinkari, the college’s Provost, highlighted
that the institution is leading the way in offering associate degree programs
in Nigeria, which are two-year courses similar to National Diploma programs,
focusing on professional, technical, and vocational skills at competitive and
affordable rates.
“Our graduates receive an American education while in
Nigeria and have the opportunity to transfer credits to four-year colleges and
universities in both the USA and Nigeria. They also benefit from prospects for
gainful employment and entrepreneurship,” stated Oyinkari.
