The Africa Film Academy (AFA), which organizes the Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA), has revealed the nominees for its 2024 edition.

The announcement was made on Wednesday during a press conference held at the Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.

In collaboration with the Lagos government, this 20th edition of AMAA is centered around the theme ‘Celebrating African Creativity.’

The Nigerian film ‘The Weekend,’ directed by Uche Okocha, received 16 nominations, while Femi Adebayo’s film ‘Jagun Jagun’ garnered seven nominations.

The awards ceremony is scheduled for November 2 at Balmoral Hall, Sheraton, Ikeja, Lagos.
