A gathering of Liam Payne's fans took place on Sunday in Hyde Park, Central London, to honor the memory of the late One Direction member. The 31-year-old singer tragically passed away on Wednesday after a fall from a balcony.

According to local media, fans assembled in the afternoon, bringing photographs of Payne, handwritten messages, balloons, and flowers to the Peter Pan statue located in Kensington Gardens, Hyde Park.

Known as Directioners, these devoted followers of the band formed on The X Factor have been organizing tributes worldwide, including throughout the UK, to celebrate Payne's life following his untimely death last Wednesday.

Prior to the weekend, Payne's father traveled to Buenos Aires to facilitate the return of his son's body.

MyLondon reports that Geoff Payne visited the Casa Sur Hotel on Friday, where the Wolverhampton-born artist fell from a third-floor balcony, taking a moment to read the heartfelt letters and cards left by fans.

On Saturday, Payne’s sister, Ruth Gibbins, posted a heartfelt tribute to her brother on Instagram, stating ‘This world was not good enough or kind enough’, alongside shared images of him, the magazine reported.

She also wrote, “I’m sorry I couldn’t save you” and added: “One last time I need you to know, I’m here if you need anything, I’d drive to the end of the universe to bring you back.”

On the same day, auditions for Britain’s Got Talent resumed in Blackpool after being postponed due to Payne’s passing.

In response, Zayn Malik, a former member of One Direction, declared that he would delay the US segment of his tour.

Zayn Malik, who gained fame with One Direction through The X Factor, shared on social media that he would be pausing his tour plans “in light of the heartbreaking loss we experienced this week.”

He reassured fans by stating, “The dates will be rescheduled for January, and I will share the details as soon as everything is finalized in the coming days,” adding, “Your tickets will still be valid for the new dates. I appreciate your understanding and love you all.”
