This season, Major League Soccer has reported that over 11 million fans have attended its games, surpassing the previous record of 10.9 million set in 2024. According to a statement from the league, the average attendance per game has reached 23,240, marking the first time in history that the league has exceeded the 11 million fan milestone.

The influx of international stars, including Lionel Messi, has significantly contributed to this increase in attendance, often leading teams to relocate matches to larger venues. The league noted, “The introduction of international talent and the efforts by clubs to offer more appealing ticket packages and enhanced game day experiences are crucial factors driving the ongoing rise in record attendance across MLS.”

This record comes with the regular season still in progress, as there are 16 matches remaining before the season concludes on October 19. Notably, this marks the third consecutive year that MLS has attracted over 10 million fans.
