Maersk, a global leader in shipping, announced its relocation of the Lagos office from Apapa to Victoria Island to optimize operational efficiency and elevate customer service.
The new office will be located on Bishop Oluwole Street, Victoria Island, Lagos, and is set to begin operations on January 2, 2025. Meanwhile, the Lagos counter for in-person transactions will continue to operate at its current site within the APM Terminals in Apapa, ensuring seamless service until it transitions to the new location on December 30, 2024.
Maersk indicated that this relocation is part of a larger strategy to broaden its service offerings and better support its expanding customer base. “We are thrilled about this new phase and are eager to assist you from our new premises. Please direct all communications, shipments, or correspondences to the new address,” the company stated in an official announcement.
Maersk Nigeria Limited, a subsidiary of A.P. Moller-Maersk, has been integral to Nigeria’s shipping sector since the 1950s. The company operates in Lagos, Port Harcourt (Onne), and Kano, facilitating international trade and providing logistics solutions for a wide array of cargo, including standard, refrigerated, and oversized shipments.
The company assures port users that service delivery, especially cargo clearance, will remain unaffected by the transition.
Industry analysts note that such strategic relocations by leading logistics providers generally aim to improve operational efficiency while maintaining convenient service access for clients in port areas.
