The Symphony of Praise (SOP) Initiative, in collaboration with Yeloto Inc. African Children Foundation, successfully executed its Food Box 2024 Project on December 21, 2024, at B-Zone Recreation Park, Jakande Estate, Amuwo Odofin, Lagos.

This initiative provided essential food supplies to 500 families, delivering vital support during the holiday season.

Among the recipients, 292 were registered participants, while 208 unregistered individuals also benefited, ensuring comprehensive assistance for those in need.

Significantly, women represented 79.5 percent of the beneficiaries, highlighting their crucial role in family sustenance during difficult times.

Furthermore, 11.6 percent of registered beneficiaries who were unable to attend in person received aid through representatives.

During the event, Oluwaseun Ayeni, President of the SOP Initiative, articulated the broader mission of the project, stating: “This is about more than food; it’s about sharing hope, building unity, and showing love to our community. Together, we are creating a future where no family has to worry about hunger.”

The day was further enlivened by Nollywood star Daniel Etim Effiong, who engaged the audience with entertainment, games, and photo opportunities, adding a joyful atmosphere to the occasion.

The program also included remarks from distinguished individuals, such as community leader Mr. Oluwaseyi Adegoke-Adeyemo, who led prayers, and Mr. Idowu, the Public Relations Officer of Yeloto Inc., who delivered an inspiring speech.

Yeloto Inc. made a significant donation of N1.5 million, which provided food boxes for 150 families, highlighting the effectiveness of collaboration in addressing food insecurity. This partnership is in line with the SOP Initiative’s goal of enhancing community welfare and promoting unity through impactful actions.

The food boxes included essential items such as rice, garri, and seasoning cubes, ensuring that families could celebrate Christmas with dignity. This initiative demonstrates SOP’s commitment to Sustainable Development Goal 2 (Zero Hunger), reinforcing its status as a leader in community development.

As the event wrapped up with expressions of gratitude and happiness, the SOP Initiative reiterated its dedication to fostering sustainable change.
