This collaboration represents a pivotal advancement in the objectives of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Presidential CNG Initiative (Pi-CNG).
As part of this strategic alliance, Tetracore will supply up to 400,000 standard cubic meters (SCM) of CNG to cater to the increasing auto CNG requirements of Dangote Cement. This initiative is expected to address the rising demand from Dangote’s extensive logistics fleet while also fulfilling the needs of Auto CNG users across the country, promoting the use of cleaner energy.
To facilitate a smooth supply chain, Tetracore will implement its advanced Mobile Refilling Units and set up strategically positioned mother stations throughout the nation. This innovative approach ensures both accessibility and reliability for Dangote’s logistics operations and other Auto CNG users, aiding Nigeria’s shift towards cleaner energy alternatives.
Speaking on the collaboration, a Tetracore Program Executive spokesperson, Dayo Williams, remarked:
“This collaboration underscores Tetracore’s commitment to advancing sustainable energy solutions across Nigeria. By collaborating with Dangote Cement, we are not only supporting one of the nation’s largest logistics operations but also driving the adoption of CNG, a cleaner, more efficient fuel option.”
This initiative is in harmony with the Federal Government’s objectives for energy transition and economic development through the use of gas and a decreased dependence on traditional fuels. It also underscores the essential contribution of the private sector in reaching national sustainability targets.
Tetracore is committed to facilitating energy transition and the use of natural gas in Nigeria by providing innovative, dependable, and scalable solutions that empower industries, improve logistics, and support a sustainable future.
