Kylian Mbappé was unable to participate in practice due to a dental issue; however, he is expected to be available for the Copa del Rey semifinal against Real Sociedad, as confirmed by coach Carlo Ancelotti on Tuesday.

Real Madrid, aiming for their second Copa final in three years, will face Sociedad in the first leg of the semifinals on Wednesday.

“Mbappé is on his way,” Ancelotti stated during the pre-match press conference. “He experienced a dental problem that prevented him from training. He will travel tomorrow and is eligible to play. Anyone who travels has the opportunity to participate in the match.”

Reports from Spanish media indicated that Mbappé had a tooth extraction.

In Madrid's recent 2-0 victory over Girona in the Spanish league on Sunday, Mbappé did not score, but he had netted six goals in his previous four matches across all competitions, including a hat trick in the Champions League playoff return leg against Manchester City.

Should Mbappé be unable to play, Brazilian forward Endrick is likely to take his place.

The first leg of the other Copa semifinal is scheduled for Tuesday, featuring Barcelona against Atletico Madrid.

Madrid last secured the Copa title in 2023, having been eliminated by Atletico in the round of 16 the previous season.

Real Sociedad has not reached the semifinals since winning their third Copa title in 2020 and has lost their last three encounters with Madrid in the Spanish league.
