Revwit was founded by Nigerian tech veterans Chinedu Ossai (CEO), Dayo Adekanmbi, and Damilola Aluede, whose collective experience includes roles at major companies like Interswitch, Bolt, Microsoft, and the London Stock Exchange Group. They aim to solve a persistent problem: B2B sales tools predominantly built for Western markets often fail to meet the unique needs and operational realities of African businesses.
“If you’ve ever tried running a B2B sales team in Africa using spreadsheets or traditional CRMs, you already know the pain,” explained CEO Chinedu Ossai. “They weren’t built for how we sell, how our teams work, or the challenges we face.”
This sentiment is echoed by co-founder Damilola Aluede, who, along with Ossai, has directly closed over $10 million in B2B deals. Their experience highlighted how capable African sales professionals are, yet how frequently they are hindered by cumbersome, expensive tools. “We didn’t build Revwit just because it’s a business opportunity,” Aluede stated. “We built it because we’ve led teams, chased deals, and wished there was something simpler. We want to give sales teams a tool that just works—so they can focus on selling, not struggling with software.”
Unlike traditional CRMs known for lengthy onboarding processes and US dollar-based subscriptions, Revwit is designed to be lightweight and easy to implement. Sales teams simply connect their email accounts, and the platform automatically imports contacts and sales conversations, organizing them into a trackable, customizable pipeline. It pulls lead data directly from forms, calendar invites, and emails, significantly reducing manual data entry.
Leveraging AI, Revwit then enriches this data using a global dataset comprising over 200 million contacts and 20 million companies. While such smart automation is available in developed markets via tools like Zoho and Salesforce, accessing it in Africa often requires costly consultants and complex integrations. Revwit aims to bypass this hurdle, offering its services with pricing in local currencies, starting with the Nigerian Naira (NGN) and planning to add support for Kenyan Shillings (KES), South African Rand (ZAR), and Ghanaian Cedis (GHS).
The platform also integrates personalized bulk email outreach, pipeline management, and deal tracking into a single interface. Security is a key focus, with compliance assured for both Nigeria's NDPR and Europe's GDPR regulations.
While another platform, Gifty AI, claims to be Africa's first AI-powered sales assistant, Ossai positions Revwit—backed by venture capital firm Norrsken and Moses Sule, former VP at Flutterwave—as uniquely focused on streamlining the entire B2B sales cycle for teams without requiring external consultants or specialized technical skills.
Launched as a minimum viable product (MVP) in November 2024, Revwit has shown promising early adoption. Over 200 startups and professional service teams across Nigeria, other African countries, the US, and Canada are reportedly using the tool, collectively managing an active deal pipeline valued at over $800 million.
Early users attest to its benefits. Napa Onwusah, CEO of Placidcode, noted, "Revwit is perfect for where we are as a company," highlighting the advantage of automatic lead updates freeing up time for customer interaction. Nadine, Pre-Sales Manager at Woodcore, added, “We used to track deals in spreadsheets, but switching to Revwit has improved pipeline management. Now, we have full visibility and better insight.”
Looking ahead, the Revwit team plans to continuously enhance the platform, adding new integrations, expanding local currency options, and deepening automation features. Their ultimate goal is to empower African B2B sales teams with intuitive, affordable tools built specifically for their context, reducing friction and allowing them to focus squarely on growth.
