Minnesota United extended its unbeaten streak to seven matches on Saturday, settling for a 0-0 draw against winless Toronto FC in a match highlighted by stellar goalkeeping from both sides.

Dayne St. Clair recorded five saves to secure his fourth clean sheet of the season in just seven starts, continuing a strong run of form for Minnesota (4-1-3). The Loons remain one of the Western Conference’s early surprises, sitting near the top of the table with their best start since entering Major League Soccer in 2017.

Toronto FC (0-4-4), meanwhile, remains winless on the year, but managed to snap a four-game losing streak with a third straight draw—two of them scoreless. Veteran keeper Sean Johnson made one save to register his second shutout of the campaign, anchoring a defense that held firm despite limited offensive support.

St. Clair had the lone save of the first half, but faced increasing pressure after the break. Still, neither side could break through in a match that featured few clear scoring chances.

Minnesota’s only defeat remains a narrow 1-0 loss to Los Angeles FC in its season opener. Since then, the Loons have found a rhythm, both offensively and defensively, climbing into second place in the Western Conference, tied with expansion club San Diego FC and just behind the Vancouver Whitecaps.

Toronto, on the other hand, continues to struggle. The Reds have now gone winless in their last 13 league matches, dating back to a 2-1 victory over Austin FC on September 14 of last season. They remain among a small group of clubs yet to record a win in 2025, alongside the LA Galaxy and CF Montreal.

Despite the draw, Toronto still leads the all-time series against Minnesota, holding a 2-1-2 advantage.

Looking ahead, Minnesota United returns home to face FC Dallas on Saturday, while Toronto hits the road for a clash against Real Salt Lake, still in search of that elusive first victory.
