Veteran creative leader brings over 30 years of global experience to Casablanca-based integrated agency
Havas Madcom, one of Morocco’s leading integrated communications agencies, has announced the appointment of Mike Miller as its new Executive Creative Director (ECD). Miller, a seasoned creative professional with a global track record, joins the agency following his successful tenure at Nigeria’s award-winning X3M Ideas.
Taking to LinkedIn to share the news, Miller expressed enthusiasm about his new role:

With more than three decades of experience across five continents, Miller has earned a reputation as an “ideas man” whose work spans big-brand campaigns, product launches, retail activations, digital platforms, and experiential marketing. His creative philosophy blends strategic thinking with hands-on execution — he writes, designs, and mentors, often leading teams as large as 80 across agency and client settings.
A Career Defined by Global Impact
Miller’s career began in 1989 as a Senior Art Director and Associate Director at DDB Group, Australia. He later held senior roles at Batey Kazoo and Leo Burnett Sydney before joining respected independent agency FNL as Creative Director. He later moved to McCann and M&C Saatchi, where he continued to hone his creative leadership.
In 2012, Miller transitioned to the client side, taking on the role of Global Creative Director at HTC in Taiwan, where he built an internal agency and spearheaded international campaigns for mobile launches in culturally diverse markets. His global portfolio includes creative work across India, China, Germany, the EMEA region, North America, and Asia.
After a stint in private consultancy, Miller relocated to Nigeria to join X3M Ideas as Executive Creative Director. During his time there, he played a pivotal role in shaping one of Africa’s most decorated creative agencies, reinforcing its reputation across regional and global award circuits.
Looking Ahead: New Chapter at Havas Madcom
At Havas Madcom, Miller is expected to drive creative excellence across campaigns that integrate traditional and digital media, experiential touchpoints, and strategic storytelling. The Casablanca-based agency is part of the global Havas network, and serves a wide range of brands across North Africa and beyond.
Miller, who was born and educated in the UK, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design and Advertising from Hounslow Borough College. His leadership style is marked by a commitment to team development, operational discipline, and the creative empowerment of young talent.
As Miller takes on this new role, his move underscores a growing trend: Africa’s creative markets are becoming magnets for international talent and innovation, with cities like Lagos, Nairobi, and Casablanca serving as emerging hubs for global-standard brand storytelling.
