Bishop David Abioye, founder of Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly, has shared a personal testimony about his wife, Mary Abioye, who was reportedly diagnosed with HIV during the COVID-19 pandemic—but was later confirmed negative following his steadfast declaration of faith in divine healing.

Speaking during a recent sermon, Bishop Abioye recounted how a seemingly frightening medical report became a testament to the power of unshaken faith. According to the cleric, doctors initially informed him that his wife had tested positive for HIV, but he immediately rejected the result.

“During COVID, they said my wife had HIV. I said, ‘No, not in this body.’ I told them, ‘Do the check-up.’ They checked and couldn’t find anything there,” he told his congregation, emphasizing that faith, not fear, dictated the outcome.

Bishop Abioye further stressed that healing, according to scripture, requires boldness rather than negotiation. “Healing is not for gentlemen. You don’t negotiate sickness to go; you crush it to go. Some people are negotiating with bandits, and that’s why their problems persist,” he explained.

He also highlighted that the trial served as a test from the “prince of this world,” referring to Satan, who found no foothold in his household. The experience, he said, reinforced his belief in divine protection and spiritual immunity.

A retired pastor of Living Faith Church (Winners’ Chapel) in 2024, Bishop Abioye now leads Living Word Conquerors Global Assembly. At the church, he continues to preach messages centered on faith, healing, and victory through Christ, drawing on personal experiences such as this to inspire his followers.
