She made the revelation while delivering the keynote address at the fifth edition of the Peace Anyiam-Osigwe Nigeria Digital Content Regulation Conference, where she spoke at the opening ceremony.
During her presentation, themed “From Volume to Value: The Future of Nigerian Motion Picture Industry in the Digital Age,” BAP highlighted her experience in the film industry, noting that her 2021 feature film Collision Course (later retitled Collision) was produced with the modest budget.
Collision is a Nigerian drama that explores the intersecting lives of a struggling police officer and an emerging artist. The film features prominent actors including Daniel Etim Effiong, Zainab Balogun, Chioma Chukwuka, Kelechi Udegbe, Norbert Young, and Bimbo Manuel.
The film was selected as the closing film for the 10th Africa International Film Festival (AFRIFF) in November 2021 and served as the opening film for the Athens Nollywood Travel Film Festival in May 2022.
BAP’s disclosure underscores her ability to produce quality content within a relatively lean budget while maintaining storytelling and cinematic value in the Nigerian film industry.
