The Call for Votes
In an official statement released on Monday via its Facebook handle, Miss Universe Nigeria emphasized the critical role of public participation.
“The time is now, Nigeria! Our queen, Onyinyechi Basil, is flying the Green and White with grace, power, and purpose at the Miss Universe 2025 competition in Thailand,” the post stated.
The organization urged citizens to "show the world the strength of our unity" and stressed that "every vote counts, and every click brings Nigeria closer to the crown." Voting instructions were outlined, encouraging fans to download the official Miss Universe App, "search for Nigeria in all categories," and then "vote and share."
Commending Commitment and Hard Work
The Miss Universe Nigeria organization also took time to celebrate Basil’s dedication since her arrival in Thailand a week ago, calling her journey a “mission to raise our flag high.” They expressed deep pride in her “unwavering commitment, grace, and hard work” throughout the preparatory stages of the prestigious competition.
Gratitude was extended to the vast network of supporters: "To all Nigerians across the world — thank you for your endless support, prayers, and votes. We see every tag, every message, every effort. Let’s keep the momentum going!"
