The alarm was triggered after an Instagram story—now deleted—appeared to show the Afrobeats veteran asking for help. While fans rushed to express worry over his wellbeing, 2Baba has firmly denied authoring the post. He maintains that the message did not originate from him and has created unnecessary tension around his home.
In a video shared on Wednesday by X (formerly Twitter) user #AsakeGrn, the singer addressed the escalating drama, noting that fan reactions, though well-intentioned, have crossed into unsafe territory.
“This is getting out of hand, this is a dangerous situation,” he said. “I know what fans can do, I know what people can do, and this is putting Natasha at risk.”
2Baba urged supporters, friends, and family members to pull back, stressing that disagreements happen in every relationship and should not be amplified by public speculation. He insisted he is “perfectly fine” and reiterated that he did not make the alarming post many assumed was a cry for help.
“It is not fair on anybody to face this kind of thing,” he said. “I need everybody to calm down, everybody to cease fire. People dey get issues for house, no be today, but this is getting out of hand. I did not post that post. Please, I am okay.”
The renewed frenzy follows earlier reports that the singer was briefly detained by UK authorities after an alleged altercation with Natasha during his October tour. The matter resurfaced during a recent Instagram Live session with broadcaster Daddy Freeze, where the couple could be heard arguing off-camera, further fueling talk of a marital crisis.
Despite the swirling narratives, 2Baba insists he and his wife should be allowed to resolve their private issues without external pressure or speculation.
