The YBNL boss, who has long been known for nurturing emerging talent in the Nigerian music industry, said that while he has spent years supporting others, he is now directing his attention inward.
Speaking in a recent interview with Flow 98.7 FM, Olamide explained, “Right now, I’m at the phase in my life where I’m really trying to give myself undivided attention. All my life I’ve been trying to be there for people and also trying to do my stuff. But right now, I’m really just trying to focus on myself 100 percent.”
Olamide’s YBNL label has been a launchpad for numerous artists who have since risen to national and international fame. The roster includes Lil Kesh, Young John, Pheelz, Fireboy DML, Lyta, Asake, and Adekunle Gold, among others.
Beyond his label, Olamide has also helped many artists gain prominence through collaborative features, including Zlatan Ibile, Naira Marley, Portable, and Bella Shmurda. His influence has cemented him as one of the most impactful figures in contemporary Nigerian music.
As he enters this new phase of self-prioritization, fans are eager to see how Olamide will balance nurturing talent while investing in his personal and artistic growth.
