The apology took place during a memorial service held in honour of the late actress, where he approached Iyabo Ojo, expressed remorse and pleaded for forgiveness over a viral video in which he had called her out.
“Big mummy please don’t be offended. You can see that I didn’t abuse you in the viral video. Please, I’m sorry,” he said as he prostrated before the actress.
Iyabo Ojo immediately embraced him and accepted the apology, describing the issue as a closed chapter. “O ti lo (it’s a thing of the past). To God, I have forgiven you,” she said.
The controversy began after Allwell Ademola’s brother publicly accused Iyabo Ojo and other Nollywood actors of abandoning the late actress during her lifetime. The comments sparked reactions on social media, prompting Iyabo Ojo to respond.
In her reaction at the time, Iyabo Ojo stated that she had supported Allwell Ademola by featuring her in several of her movie productions without payment, countering claims that she had failed to assist her colleague.
The public reconciliation at the memorial service appears to have brought closure to the dispute, with both parties moving past the misunderstanding.
