This marks a significant increase from his 11.8 percent stake at the end of 2024.

The financial statements, signed by Group Managing Director Adebowale Oyedeji, Acting Chief Financial Officer Wasiu Shafe, and Group Company Secretary Abiola Baruwa, also revealed that RC Investment Management Limited remains the largest shareholder, holding 10.43 billion shares or 23.47 percent of the company.

First HoldCo’s total issued share capital rose from 35.9 billion shares at the end of 2024 to 44.45 billion shares as of December 31, 2025. The company’s free float also increased in value to N1.24 trillion, representing 58.34 percent of total shares, up from N800.07 billion or 79.46 percent in 2024, while remaining compliant with the Nigerian Exchange (NGX) premium board listing requirements.

In December 2025, Otedola acquired additional shares in First HoldCo worth N14.8 billion, reinforcing his commitment to the company and increasing his influence over the financial holding group.

This move underscores Otedola’s continued confidence in the growth prospects of First HoldCo and his strategic position in Nigeria’s financial sector.
