A strong warning has been issued by popular gospel artiste and pastor Nathaniel Bassey to married men involved in extramarital relationships and to women who knowingly engage with married partners, cautioning that such actions could attract grave consequences.

In a video currently circulating widely on social media, the gospel singer addressed a congregation during a church service, condemning what he described as deceptive and immoral conduct by married men who pursue young women. Bassey warned that such behaviour could lead to divine judgment, public disgrace, and irreversible shame.

According to him, married men who mislead young women, including those who engage in sexual relationships outside their marriages, risk exposure and humiliation that could extend into the public domain. He stressed that such acts may not remain hidden and could be laid bare on social media platforms.

“You are a married man, and you go about deceiving young girls, leading them on. Some even go as far as sleeping with them,” Bassey said. “If you try it this year, you won’t survive. Your shame will not be forgotten; it will be on social media.”

He further warned that deceitful encounters, including secret hotel meetings, could end in dire consequences, emphasizing that marital infidelity carries spiritual and moral repercussions.

Beyond married men, the cleric also directed sharp words at young women who knowingly enter relationships with married men. He attributed such choices to greed, materialism, and the pursuit of luxury items and attention.

Bassey cautioned that the pursuit of material benefits—such as expensive hair, designer items, or financial gain—at the expense of moral values could lead to serious outcomes.

“If you know in your heart that the man is married, but because of greed or material things you go ahead, don’t take this lightly,” he warned.

The remarks have since generated widespread reactions online, with supporters praising the pastor for addressing moral issues directly, while others debated the tone and intensity of his message. Nonetheless, the video has reignited conversations around fidelity, accountability, and personal responsibility within relationships, particularly among faith communities.
