A partial lineup for the annual event has been unveiled, featuring a mix of acclaimed performers and current Grammy nominees. Artists confirmed to appear include Jesse Welles, Margo Price, Rhiannon Giddens, I’m With Her, Maggie Rose, Molly Tuttle and Sierra Hull. Additional performers scheduled for the evening include the Milk Carton Kids, Chris Pierce, Young the Giant, Katie Pruitt, Leif Vollebekk, Gold Star, Evangeline and Alex Amen.
Organizers say the roster is still growing. According to show producer Michelle Aquilato, roughly six more artists are expected to be added in the days leading up to the concert.
“We are proud to continue our longstanding pre-Grammy salute tradition, and I can’t wait to see our extraordinary performers honor Neil and his incredible songs,” said Americana Music Association executive director Jed Hilly. “Our organization prides itself on community. We hope this evening helps bring everyone together, as we pay it forward with a donation to MusiCares and their charitable efforts.”
Tickets for the intimate tribute are now available through the Troubadour’s website. Proceeds from the $200 tickets will benefit MusiCares, as well as the Americana Music Association and its foundation.
Many of the artists participating in the salute will head to downtown Los Angeles the following night as Grammy nominees across multiple categories, including folk, country, Americana, American roots and bluegrass. Price is nominated for Best Traditional Country Album (Hard Headed Woman) and Country Duo/Group Performance for “Love Me Like You Used to Do” with Tyler Childers. I’m With Her earned nominations for Best American Roots Performance and Best American Roots Song for “Ancient Light,” while Welles and Hull are both recognized in the American roots song category. Tuttle and Welles are also nominees for Best Americana Album, and Hull is up for Best Bluegrass Album. The event’s lineup includes three of the five nominees for Best Folk Album: Giddens, I’m With Her and Welles.
The Americana Pre-Grammy Salute became an officially sanctioned Grammy Week event in 2025, transitioning from a long-running but informal gathering into a recognized fundraiser supporting MusiCares. That benefit component continues this year.
Founded to honor Grammy-recognized artists and nominees by spotlighting the work of influential songwriters, the salute has previously celebrated legends including Paul Simon, Lucinda Williams, Willie Nelson, John Prine, Emmylou Harris and Loretta Lynn. Last year’s event honored John Hiatt, who joined performers onstage at the close of the night.
As the tradition continues at the Troubadour, this year’s salute will place Neil Young’s catalog at the center of a communal celebration of songwriting, legacy and the enduring spirit of Americana music.
