Nollywood actress Fathia Balogun has been thrown into mourning following the death of her mother, Mrs. Gloria Uzoamaka Williams.

The actress was seen in an emotional moment during the final burial ceremony of her mother, where she broke down in tears. In a video circulating on social media on Saturday, Balogun appeared visibly distraught, crying and shouting uncontrollably as family members and close associates tried to console her.


Friends, relatives and sympathisers who attended the ceremony gathered around the actress, offering comfort and support as she struggled to cope with the loss.

Reports earlier indicated that Mrs. Williams passed away on the eve of Balogun’s 55th birthday. However, the sad news was reportedly withheld from the actress until after she had celebrated her birthday.

The development has since drawn sympathy from fans and colleagues within the Nigerian film industry, many of whom have taken to social media to express their condolences and support for the grieving actress during the difficult time.
