Nollywood actress Regina Daniels has spoken candidly about her outlook on marriage following her separation from her estranged husband, Nigerian politician Ned Nwoko, saying she no longer sees herself getting married again — even though she still plans to have more children.
Speaking during a recent livestream with TikTok personality Jarvis, the actress said her priorities have shifted significantly since the breakdown of her marriage, but her desire for a larger family remains unchanged.
“I want to have six children and I have two already, two boys. It so crazy but for some reason I have checked my mind out from getting married. But I am going to have a girl and I must have a girl,” she said.
She added that her preference for a daughter is rooted in her belief about family bonds and care in later life:
“Men will grow, get married and and focus more on building family. But for women she will always remember home,” she added.
From high-profile marriage to public separation
Daniels’ comments come years after her widely discussed marriage to Nwoko in 2019, a union that drew intense public debate due to their significant age gap — she was 19 at the time, while Nwoko is a billionaire politician and former senator.
The couple share two children, both boys.
Their relationship became increasingly public in late 2025 when Nwoko accused the actress of struggling with substance abuse and suggested she needed rehabilitation. Daniels strongly denied the claims, instead accusing him of manipulation and psychological abuse.
The situation escalated into a public dispute before the marriage eventually collapsed, with Daniels moving into her own residence and reaffirming that she is now single.
“No longer interested in marriage”
In her latest remarks, the actress made it clear that while she still values motherhood, her interest in marriage has faded entirely following the experience.
Her statement reflects a broader emotional shift from being part of one of Nigeria’s most talked-about celebrity unions to redefining her life independently — focused on raising her children and expanding her family on her own terms.
