    NCDC Confirms Another 38 New Coronavirus Cases in Nigeria

    Nigeria has recorded 38 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of confirmed infections in the country to 665

    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control made this known via its Twitter handle on Monday.
    It also said the total number of fatalities recorded from the virus in Nigeria has increased to 22

    The public health agency in a tweet late Monday night said that new cases were reported in eight states. These are 23 cases in Kano, Gombe, a new entrant into the states with the virus infection has 5 cases, 3 cases in Kaduna, 2 cases in Borno, 2 cases in Abia, 1 case in FCT, 1 case in Sokoto and 1 case in Ekiti.

    Cases of the coronavirus disease have been confirmed in three more states in Nigeria. This brings to 24, the total states (excluding the Federal Capital Territory Abuja) affected by the COVID-19 virus.
    The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, stated that Gombe State recorded five cases, Abia State reported two cases while Sokoto State recorded one case.
    These are the first set of cases recorded in the three states.

    As at 11:10 pm 20th April there are 665 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Nigeria, the NCDC reported. The figure included 38 new cases from the previous figure of 627. The tally of discharged people stood at 188 with deaths at 22
