    COVID-19: Nigeria Reports 407 New Cases, 11 Recoveries

    Nigeria reported 407 new cases of COVID-19 and 11 recoveries on Sunday, as the number of active cases in the country increased.

    There have been 174,315  cumulative COVID-19 cases in Nigeria. Of those, 165,005 people have recovered and discharged.

    Nigeria's active caseload now stands at 7,151 after 396 more were recorded.

    The health officials recorded no additional COVID-19 related death on Sunday with the death toll  stand at 2,149 in the country.

    The new case were identified in 16 states and the Federal Capital Territory.

    According to the data released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC, Lagos reported 160 new cases followed by Akwa-Ibom with 75 and Ondo in third position with 51 cases.

    Others states with cases are Abia-33, Oyo-29, Kaduna-18, Katsina-7, Gombe-6, Ogun-6, Ekiti-5, Delta-4, FCT-4, Ebonyi-3, Edo-2, Niger-2, Bayelsa-1 and Nasarawa-1.

    Today's report includes 0 cases reported from Kano, Osun, Plateau, Rivers, and Sokoto states.
