Femi Otedola, Nigerian billionaire and Chairman of the electricity producer Geregu Power, was on Thursday inaugurated as the Chancellor of Augustine University.
The inauguration took place at an auditorium in the school
which is located in Ilara, a town in Epe local government area of Lagos State
Southwestern Nigeria.
The business mogul shared photos from the event on his X
handle, revealing that he gifted N1 million each to 750 students in the school.
Speaking on his new achievement, Otedola expressed gratitude
to God.
Otedola said: “I strongly believe in transforming establishments that I am associated with. I gave a gift of One Million to each of the Seven Hundred and Fifty Students. I hope this donation of Seven Hundred and Fifty Million Naira assists the plight of the parents of our students in this difficult time.”
Augustine University, Ilara also known as AUI is a private
Catholic-owned University located in Ilara, a town in Epe local government area
of Lagos State.
The University was approved on 25 February 2015 by the Federal Government of Nigeria through the National Universities Commission.
