Top Nigerian Firms Recognised for Sector-Wide Contributions at WorldStage Economic Summit 2025

A cross-section of leading Nigerian companies and institutions has been honoured for their contributions to economic development at the 2025 edition of the WorldStage Economic Summit (WES), where this year’s Outstanding Economic Impacts Awards were presented in Lagos.

The ceremony, held on Friday at The Event Centre of the Nigerian Exchange Limited on Customs Street, featured recognitions for organisations across multiple sectors. Among the recipients were NLNG, Ikeja Electric, Stanbic IBTC Stockbrokers, MTN Nigeria Foundation, and the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), alongside 18 other corporate and institutional winners.

According to World Stage Limited, organisers of the summit, the award process was guided by an online stakeholder survey in which media professionals and industry observers completed questionnaires and nominated organisations they believed delivered exceptional economic value within their respective fields. The approach, the organisers noted, was designed to secure broad-based and credible input.

President/CEO of World Stage Limited, Mr. Segun Adeleye, explained that the awards were strictly merit-based, stressing that the survey was conducted to ensure results that both local and international observers could objectively assess and endorse. He described the awardees as standout performers contributing measurably to Nigeria’s economic growth in 2025.

Adeleye congratulated the winners and encouraged them to sustain their efforts, emphasising the importance of consistent, meaningful contributions to national development.
