Nollywood actress Doris Ogala has publicly rejected Pastor Chris Okafor’s assertion that some of her allegations against him were lies, following his recent apology.

Pastor Okafor, founder of Grace Nation Bible Ministry, issued a public apology on Sunday while addressing his congregation, acknowledging past mistakes and offering to make amends to those he had offended, including Ogala. During the apology, he maintained that “there are so many lies in most of the things that were said” but emphasized his willingness to offer restitution.

“To the lady called Doris Ogala, mistakes have been made in the past and I tender apologies to everybody. There are so many lies in most of the things that were said, however, I am saying sorry to everyone I have offended. To Doris Ogala, I am so sorry and I apologize. I am ready to make restitution to anyone that I have offended,” Okafor stated.

Ogala, however, took issue with the pastor’s characterization of her claims. In a response shared on her Facebook page, she affirmed her honesty while granting forgiveness.

“Chris Okafor, I forgive you but there is a problem where you said everything is a lie. I have a problem with that because I don’t lie,” she wrote.

The dispute originally arose after Ogala accused Pastor Okafor of breaking a promise to marry her, a claim that prompted further complications, including allegations from Okafor’s children. Earlier this month, her legal team, Synergy Law Partners, reportedly demanded N1 billion in compensation from the preacher.

Ogala’s response underscores her insistence on maintaining her credibility amid the public controversy, while the ongoing situation continues to draw attention to the delicate intersection of personal disputes and public accountability involving prominent figures in Nigeria.
