As part of the programme, alumni members visited the school on Friday to present 13 units of classroom furniture aimed at improving learning conditions. Led by the chairperson, Bolanle Ladipo, and vice chairperson, Taofiq Jinadu, the group also organised a brief sensitisation session for students. Members Grace Ebegbulem and Fatima Oyero spoke on good conduct, social etiquette, and practical measures for personal safety and security.
Ladipo explained that the gesture was rooted in the group’s desire to give back to the institution that played a defining role in their formative years. She noted that the set had earlier donated two laptops and planned to deliver additional books to the school on Monday.
Principal Felix Kujore commended the initiative, describing it as timely and impactful. He said the donation would significantly ease some of the school’s immediate needs, especially as it awaits government-approved furniture for students and staff. Kujore praised the alumni for supporting the school despite not being a large organisation with vast resources, adding that the act of giving would leave a lasting impression on the students. The reunion concluded on Saturday with former classmates reconnecting, sharing memories, and honouring educators. Gifts were presented to teachers, both current and retired, as the alumni reaffirmed their commitment to supporting the school community.
